As businesses integrate AI into their workflows and data becomes more complex, data quality and explain ability are increasingly important to strategies and systems. In fact, IBM’s 2023 CEO study found the number one barrier to generative AI adoption is concerns about the lineage or provenance of data.

Businesses are seeking ways to better understand the data that is feeding their intelligent systems.  However, with the advancement of Generative AI, if you feed your models with a foundation of bad data , it will lead to bad model decision-making and ultimately negative outcomes for your organisation: missed opportunities, bad investments, lack of competitive advantage. Data is useful only when it is protected and its context, content, and quality can be trusted.

The morning session at the workshop will help demystify the data challenges organisations are having with data sets, look at how to maintain and govern them, ensuring they are strengthened for enterprise data management.  IBM solutions will help ensure you have data that is industrialised, governed and robust, whilst also looking at the untapped resources and potential to monetize data.

Infusing AI across the enterprise at scale will not be possible without doing this across all platforms including the IBM mainframe. This afternoon session will be focused on how IBM mainframe customers will be able to accelerate their AI plans through a combination of lower cost, sustainable mainframe data access patterns and AI capabilities which infuse AI into mainframe applications, transactions and data without impacting operational performance and resilience.
