Environmental sustainability is no longer just a corporate social responsibility (CSR) issue. Opportunities and risks related to the environment now challenge the strategies and operating models of organizations across all sectors and functions. Environmental objectives will directly affect how a company operates and defines its competitive advantage.

In the IBM Institute of Business Value studies we observe that 80% of consumers indicate sustainability as a key aspect in purchasing decisions and indeed 60% are willing to change their shopping habits to reduce environmental impact. And of these consumers, 70% would pay a premium of 35% or more for brands that are sustainable and environmentally responsible. So as we see, Sustainability is not just a disclosure cost, but it should be seen as an area of opportunity to further enhance the business value by embedding sustainability related capabilities into your SAP-based transformation programs.

As a continuation of our long standing partnership and building on our Evolution Partnership Announcement from July 2020, IBM and SAP have teamed up to enable you, our customers in your ambition to become Sustainable Intelligent Enterprises, identifying the key capabilities, enabled by the next generation of solutions that change the way you plan, buy, make, sell, ship your products and services to the market with solutions like Green Advocacy for Retail from IBM, Sustainable Intelligent Planning from IBM, Responsible Sourcing that are integrated with SAP’s Intelligent Suite and leverage the latest Climate 21 solutions from SAP.

So we invite you to join us on September 2nd, 15:00 pm CET when we kick off our Sustainability series with an 90-minutes interactive virtual session with a focus on Sustainable Supply Chain Management. Register today! Replay and presentations are now available: http://ibm.biz/Sustainable_Box
